Etel and Rock have each lived here for over twenty years, marrying in 2005. Since then, they have produced a film festival, owned and operated a restaurant, and began their latest adventure when they opened the Cantuta Inn in 2016.

Etel is a talented artist who paints oils and watercolors.  In her native Peru she also worked as a schoolteacher and principal.  Rock has worked more than three decades for National Geographic Partners where he programmed a film series, produced events including beer and whisky tastings, and currently works as a photo archivist.
